Academic Affairs to Honours Course
Classess:
B. Com (Honours and General) classes are held between 4.45p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively upto 9.15 p.m. on all workihgdays. As per rules pf the University of North Bengal, students must attend at least 75% of the classes held during the course of study, failing which they will be declared non-collegiate. If they fail to attend at least 60% of the classes held they will be declared dis-collegiate.
B. Com Part I classes commence immediately after the completion of the admission process and B.Com Part II and Part III classes commence immediately after the completion of final examinations of the university (i.e. before publication of Part I and Part II results respectively).
Medium of instruction:
In all B. Com classes (Honours and General) all papers are taught in English and Bengali except the language papers which are taught in their respective languages.
Examinations:
The B. Com (Honours and General) students are to appear at 3-stage final examinations at the end of each academic session (i.e. Part I,Part II and Part III).
To be eligible to appear at the final examinations they MUST:
(i) Attend at least the minimum number of classes as mentioned in 2.5.1. above
(ii) Apear at and pass the Test/Semister Examinations conducted by the college
(iii) fil in hte examination form of the university within the stipulated dates.
